Hi, I'm Sara Sweeney. Thanks for popping by my site.
After graduating college, I grew my talent and passion for collaborative writing into a lucrative side-hustle called "Write With Sara." I did this because I love writing, I love helping people, and I'm the kind of person who dives into learning. If I sense I can positively contribute to a cause, nothing is too far out of my wheelhouse.
I found myself stepping into linchpin roles as a grant coordinator, a health insurance navigator, a resource specialist, and even a comprehensive sexuality educator. This track was a blast, but not sustainable. So, in 2020, I set another goal: procure stable, full-time employment with my local government. I didn't mind what, it just had to be continuous and secure.
For the next few years I capped out as a Tax Clerk for my county, gaining insight into tax calculation, property classification, and the property value appeal process. My customer service skills radiated, but I missed shining light on things from an aerial view; I missed being part of discussions that are planning years down the line. I missed writing. So, that's where I am now, honing my internship and contracted Grant Writer experiences into a full-fledged funding career.
I aim to join a reputable organization where I can position myself as a future community leader. Eventually, my sights are set on pursuing a Masters degree in Public Affair/Public Administration. My entrepreneurial energy, and adherence to deadlines, and love for collaborative team efforts lead me here. My strengths are asking questions to clarify individual and shared goals, inspiring enthusiasm, and producing clear writing products to secure funding.
I no longer actively pursue clients through Write With Sara, but I donate my spare time as a pro-bono grant writer for organizations and small businesses that align with my personal values of responsibility, interconnectedness, indulgence, and liberation. Causes I stand behind uplift community and the justice of all human beings regardless of (but not without regard to) age, sexual orientation, race, gender, ability, economic background, faith, or language. If you know or work for an institution that is in search of fundraising forces, drop a line to my direct email email@example.com
Writing is a part of my heart - and I hope to share a bit with you! Faithfully, Sara
